The Appeal

It’s the last of the classic air-cooled 911s and for that reason alone, enthusiasts love it. But there are many other reasons to revere the 993, not least because it is the culmination of everything that makes those early cars such rewarding drivers’ cars.

This Targa shows why they’re so popular. Professionally resprayed in factory-correct dark blue metallic and sitting on pretty Fuchs, this is a very attractive car in great condition. The specification is equally appealing, including a manual box and that clever sliding Targa top that retains the coupe aesthetics but provides open top motoring.

Despite the exceptionally low mileage of under 43,000 miles from new, the history file is extensive and impressive. Alongside that respray there is a long list of work to improve the suspension, brakes and replace the clutch. The servicing has also been kept up to date.

The result of all that is a long, advisory-free MOT to July 2025. This is a very good example of a truly great 911.
