The Appeal
The SL-Class may well be one of the most consistently excellent, well-engineered sports ranges to ever roll out of Europe - and the R129 had quite a task ahead of it. Introduced to replaced the legendary R107 roadster, one of the most successful and enduring cars in Mercedes-Benz' repertoire, the R129 managed to excel by maintaining the classic standard.
Smoothed out, but still utterly eyecatching styling, a range of excellent engines and comfortable cabins ensured that the newcomer was more than capable, and the car has since become a modern classic in its own right. This particular 1996 example stands out with its low mileage of just 48,800 miles, which is believed genuine and certainly supported by its fine condition.

This fabulous car has seen very little use in recent years due to the owner's personal circumstances, which is no doubt a key component in its fine order. No doubt about it - if you're after a classic Mercedes roadster, this is a superb opportunity.
