The Appeal
Penned by Ercole Spada - the man behind some of Lancia’s most striking designs - the second generation Delta is all too often overlooked. Sure, its Giugiaro-designed forebears were darlings of the rally scene, but when you consider the Delta II could be ordered with that same 16v turbocharged engine while in two-door coupé form, it becomes a mightily tempting proposition.
Today, surviving examples are vanishingly rare, so when a good one comes along, you simply can’t afford to let it pass you by. This 1996 Delta II HPE Turbo is just that - a very good survivor. Commendably original throughout and in the perfect specification, it’s sure to be the envy of Lancia fans the world over.
Benefiting from copious recent mechanical work including a comprehensive engine and suspension overhaul, it’s bound to be one of the best examples on the market.
