Highlights
- Advisory-free MOT until 4th November 2025
- An exceedingly rare find outside of Japan
- Complete with Japanese emergency flare
The Appeal
Originally launched as a three-wheeled commercial, much like Italy’s Piaggio Ape, the Daihatsu Midget became a much-loved Kei truck, perfect for transporting light goods within bustling Japanese cities. Outside Japan, they’re exceedingly rare, especially outside Japan and you’d be hard-pressed to ever spy one in the UK.
This second-generation example, known as the K100, is the four-wheeled version, the likes of which are still used to supply Japanese bars and restaurants. As the photographs show, it’s in very good overall condition and the vendor notes that it runs and drives really well.
Complete with an advisory-free MOT valid until November 2025, this fascinating Kei truck would be a superb buy, either to promote a business or carry out light load-lugging duties.
