The Appeal
A quick memo to the makers of other 1990s luxobarges. Please step carefully to one side, this E38 750iL is coming through. And it is one for the saloon enthusiast.
Perhaps you’re drawn by the 320bhp V12. It’s done just 33,000 miles from new. Or maybe it’s the AC Schnitzer body kit. Alternatively, you may be all about the gizmos, the raft of them - two car phones (for front and rear passengers), electric front and rear seats, picnic tables, fine wood veneers, double glazing, TV, 6CD changer. Etc. There’s blinds and a sunroof too. This car is likely the only one of its specification in the UK or perhaps Europe because it was fitted with virtually every factory option when new, plus that body kit. It cost £98,000 in 1996, equivalent to £230,000 now.
This very low mileage LWB 750iL has had just two keepers from new. It has been barely used since 2009, dry storage preserving the condition inside and out. The vendor acquired it in 2014 and has invested £10,000 since recommissioning it using a BMW specialist and BMW parts. This recently included fitting a Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) fuel tank and associated parts.
The vendor reports no known faults or issues but it will require a MOT. Once done, it offers an executive express experience without rival.
