The Appeal

For nearly 70 years the Porsche 911 has been the pinnacle of two-door sports cars. The 993 variant is heralded amongst Porsche collectors as one of the best thanks to its driving characteristics and the fact it was the swansong for Porsche’s air-cooled flat-six engine.
This example has been pampered over its life and as such is presented in marvellous condition. It has been recently re-sprayed and has a wealth of paperwork within its ring binder folder.
You can just imagine the scenes next summer as the sun comes out, the roof goes down, and your fun journey with 993 begins.

The History and Paperwork

  • Accompanying this car will be a huge file of the work that has been previously completed, and Porsche literature
  • Within the original Porsche leather-bound folder, you’ll find the usual operating manuals
  • Alongside the manuals, you’ll find the very well-stamped service book
  • There are also some documents relating to the Porsche owners club, showing the previous owners have been proper enthusiasts
  • Within the ring binder, you will find a lot of invoices all in date order
  • Totalling thousands of pounds, you can tell that this car has been looked after well
  • More recently the car has been resprayed and doesn’t it just look gorgeous
  • There are two keys that will come with the car, along with other smaller items that can be seen in the paperwork photos
  • The vendor will get a new MOT carried out for the new owner prior to handover
  • It is now your chance to get behind the wheel of a wonderful example of a very collectable 911

The Interior

  • Porsche Classic radio navigation fitted
  • Beautifully presented grey/silver leather
  • Pioneer sound system
Unlocking this car and stepping into the beautifully presented interior will open so many opportunities to make lots of happy motoring memories behind the wheel of this Stuttgart classic.
Finished in a colour combination that neatly matches the exterior finish this 911 is a wonderful place to sit. The two leather-trimmed, bucket like, seats upfront look like they will hold you snuggly as you fly down the road. It looks as if these two seats have been preserved very well, the light leather is void of any obvious staining or other marks. Some very slight rubbing is present on the driver’s seat bolster, but for a car of this age, this is almost expected.  In the rear, there are two smaller seats that are also in great condition. The backs of these seats will fold down to create a bit more boot space should you wish to road trip this classic.
To match the light leather all of the carpets are finished in the same sort of colour. From front to back, this carpet is in remarkable condition and looks almost new in places. Up in the driver and passenger foot wells, this carpet has been protected by two layers of over mats, a nice little touch to help preserve the car even longer.
As you might imagine all of the interior switchgear is in lovely condition. The steering wheel looks as good as the day it was installed at the Stuttgart factory. But, just to the left of the steering wheel, you’ll find a neat 21st-century addition to the interior. Gone is the original radio and in has gone a modern Porsche multimedia stereo. This has the ability to provide navigation, radio, and much more.
If you’re a car nut, then the Porsche dial setup is instantly recognisable. The tacho is set centre stage with other dials fanning out left and right. All of these dials are easily readable, but you’ll be too busy thinking about nailing the next gear change and taking in the pure joy of driving an air-cooled Porsche.
We cannot talk about this car’s interior without talking about the retractable roof section. With the roof up the headliner is in good condition, with a few frays presented around the window sections. But, at the press of a button, the roof folds neatly behind the rear seats and can then be covered by the tonneau cover. With the roof gone the already inviting interior is flooded with natural light and is made to feel big and airy. It also has the additional bonus of allowing all of that flat-six noise into the cabin.
Overall, the interior of this 993 911 is in amazing condition. It is just waiting for you to hop in and take it on the next sightseeing adventure.

The Exterior

  • Recently resprayed
  • Moveable spoiler
  • Iconic Porsche alloys
  • Good roof condition
It is no secret that the Porsche 911’s design hardly changes between generations, but then again, it is difficult to improve on perfection. Its circular headlights up front, prominent wings, and wide rear haunches produce an instantly recognisable silhouette that everyone can identify.
Presented in a simple silver paint and navy blue fabric roof this is a very classy looking 911. This car has just been through a re-spray process and thanks to this the bodywork is presented very well indeed. There is a slight stone chip to the front panel, and also a slight dent to the same panel, there is some stone chipping to the mirrors as well, but these should not put you off an otherwise perfect looking 993.
This car sits on a set of beautifully presented 5-spoke turbo wheels. Shod in a matching set of Pirelli P Zero’s this car is ready to get going.
With the roof up you can see that it is in lovely condition. there are a few minor marks present, but we all start to show some marks by the time we hit 30. With the roof retracted it hides neatly under the included tonneau cover.
Overall, this 911 is in lovely exterior condition. Wherever you display this vehicle people will admire the beautiful, simplistic, and iconic lines of the 911.

The Mechanics

  • The final air-cooled 911
  • Lots of invoices for mechanical work
  • Lovely to drive
Although this car is beautiful to gawp at, it has been built to be the best driving car on the road. Every 911 has been renowned for its driving characteristics and back in the 1990s, the 993 was of course the hottest ticket to drive.
Tucked under the rear deck is the legendary air-cooled flat-six engine. Transferring its power through a five-speed gearbox, it then directs this power to the rear wheels. This is about as close as you can get to perfection and when you get out to drive this car for the first time it will be an exciting experience that’ll stick with you for a long time.
You can quickly gather from the invoices and service stamps that this car has been mechanically pampered throughout its life. It is thanks to this maintenance that has kept it going for all of these years and miles.
This Porsche will be an amazing mechanical addition to your collection that you should always be able to depend on thanks to the German engineering.

Summary

What a perfect Porsche 911 we have just for you, and just in time for Christmas as well. Simply put a bow on top and you will have the best present you could ever give yourself.
With festive gift-giving aside, this car has been well looked after throughout its life. The large paperwork section provides some nice history about how the car has been treated, this is further backed up by the service record. This is definitely the real deal, and you don’t want to miss out on this collectable classic.
