The Appeal
The MGR V8 was MG Rover’s last true roadster and therefore has a popular following. It wasn’t made in huge numbers and many were sent for export, so when one becomes available to buy, you can expect a lot of interest.
This one has been owned for the last 20 years by the same owner and it has been loved and used throughout that time. It has enjoyed a thorough maintenance regime and has received many little improvements over the years.
It sits resplendent on a set of 17-inch split rims of the same style of the original factory 15-inch versions, allowing the fitment of lower profile tyres. These coupled with a set of Spax adjustable dampers have improved the car’s handling immensely.
The owner has not cossetted the car, and it has been enjoyed on many touring holidays and adventures. It may show a few signs of that use with a few chips and scratches, but it is still a beautiful machine that just begs to be driven.
