The Appeal
The W124 was a Mercedes-Benz masterclass. Crisply designed by Bruno Sacco and engineered to perfection, it cleverly played to the sober-suited, high quality aesthetic beloved of the firm’s traditional buyers whilst neatly bringing the firm right up to date.
There were a huge array of engines and trim options. A mid-period revamp involving ‘Sacco plank’ side cladding that cleverly updated the handsome design.
The very reliable W124 is known for eating miles so it is unusual to discover a car like this with less than 60,000 miles covered in 28 years. Smartly presented in dark blue metallic over cream it has clearly been cared for. Perfect as a distinctive daily driver or the basis for a shiny weekend classic, this is the practical classic you can buy with your head and your heart.

Handsome and durable and available in a huge range of specifications the W124 was popular with taxi drivers and captains of industry across the world.
