The Appeal
When the W140 hit the market in 1991, it offered something of a peak for the company. Engineered to the extreme, refined both inside and out and veering on the outsized, it was a remarkably impressive car from tyre to tyre. It might not have been the prettiest of the Stuttgart repertoire, but in the increasingly brutalist 90s, its slab-sided appearance fit right in.
This fine '95 example is an original Spanish market car, which is no doubt a big contributor to its fine condition. Still carrying its original Spanish registration, the car has been very nicely kept, spending its first 7 years being maintained by a main Mercedes-Benz dealer. Well-travelled it might be, but it's ready and waiting to hit the road.

- Original leather interior well-preserved
- Some age-commensurate wear on the driver's seat
- The rest of the upholstery appears clean, original and complete

- Dashboard is clean and well-presented
- All instruments appear clean and legible
The Mechanics

- Automatic transmission
- Fuel tank was recently cleaned, and the fuel pump was replaced
- We're told the car starts easily in both cold and hot conditions and drives smoothly
- Power steering is not currently functional due to a leak, but works when fluid is added
- Once this has been repaired the car has no further issues reported
- Ultimately, it looks to be a fine, eminently drivable car
