The Appeal
Replacing an icon was never going to be easy. The original CJ had been in production for 42 years before Jeep unveiled the YJ.
It took everything that was great about the original and made it more usable and, crucially, better. Better offroad and much better on-road. The 4litre straight six wasn’t new but it was proven and suitably torquey. There was a choice of trim levels of which Sahara got all the options and some choice decals.
First registered in the UK in 1995, this 29 year old YJ Sahara is about as close to a new example as you’ll surely find. It benefits from a £22,000 restoration and presents to the buyer in showroom-quality condition. It has been in the hands of its enthusiast seller since 2012 and comes with a full set of history dating back to first registration.
Retaining its original Sahara factory fittings and supplied with a MOT to May 2024, this is a very versatile and distinctive classic to add to your collection.
