Produced from 1994 to 1997, the X300 greatly enhanced the XJ’s build quality and added a raft of new engines, suspension set-ups and interior appointments to the range.

- Supplied and registered by Stratstone Jaguar, Stourbridge in January 1995

The Interior
- Oatmeal leather upholstery, presented in very good condition, with some wear and creasing evident to the driver’s seat
- Dark wood trim in very good condition, with no signs of cracking or delamination we could see
- Dark grey carpets run through the cabin and boot and present well, with no visible damage or staining
- Harman Kardon sound system – radio, cassette and CD changer (The vendor has noted that the clock and radio displays are slightly dim)
- Cruise control
- Electrically operated, heated seats with 3-memory function to driver’s side
- Electric sunroof, windows and door mirrors
- Air-conditioning with front and rear demisters
- Boot presents in fine condition, with full-size spare wheel
The Exterior
- Lovely Sapphire Blue paintwork, mostly in good order with some minor chips and blemishes
- The car’s bodywork looks to be straight and undamaged, with no significant corrosion
- The vendor notes a small spot of surface corrosion to the rear of the sunroof and some bubbling to the rear arches
- Original XJR 17” alloy wheels look in fine fettle, with no kerbing or damage we could identify
- Trim and badging all appears to be in good order, with nothing missing and no damage evident
- Light lenses and glass all appear to be in fine condition, with just a small chip to the windscreen, outside the driver’s view
The Mechanics
- 3,980cc supercharged inline-six, developing 326bhp and 378lb-ft
- Very clean and tidy engine bay, with no signs of damage or overheating we could identify
- Rare Getrag 5-speed manual transmission (only 102 XJRs fitted with this option)
- The current MOT notes a slight oil leak
- Excellent maintenance history, with the last service in October 2021 at 123,050 miles
- Full stainless steel exhaust system, including manifold
- Performance pod-filter fitted
- New CAT cores were fitted in October 2021
- Recent new clutch, master cylinder and slave cylinder
- New rear subframe bushes, rear coils and rear bump stops fitted in July 2018, with few miles covered since
