The Appeal

The History and Paperwork

• First registered for the road in September 1995 this car has gone on to live a happy life
• It has experienced a few loving owners over its years
• The current owner acquired the car in January 2013 
• In their ownership, the car has done a few miles 
• It has always been kept in a dry garage
• There is some paperwork with the car, consisting of invoices, MOT certificates, and the V5
• The vendor has always taken the car to a jaguar specialist, Jagutek if there has been an issue
• In 2016 it had some work around the rear lower shock mounts and some new brake pads
• In 2018 the car had some work to the smooth automatic gearbox 
• It got some new electrical components, a new valve chest assembly, and a gearbox service
• MOT valid until February 2024
• Had previously been SORN and the previous MOT test was carried out in April 2020
• Now it’s time for you to get behind the wheel and enjoys the comfort of this land yacht

The Interior

• Inside this Daimler looks amazing
• A sea of leather, wood veneer, and 90s tech, it’s a great place to be
• The cream leather is in good condition on the majority of the seats 
• You can see some bolster wear to the driver’s seat, but this can be expected with the mileage
• Electrically operated and heated the front seats should be extremely comfortable
• There is also some wear to the steering wheel, but this doesn’t affect its use at all
• The steering column will electrically raise and lower aiding getting in and out
• Behind the steering wheel, all the dials appear to work as they should 
• Following along the dashboard you can see that it is presented very well indeed
• The dimming rear-view mirror has seen better days
• Fitted to the armrest is the original car phone, this wasn’t tested
• As this is the extended wheelbase version it is the rear passenger compartment that is the star of the show
• The cream leather back here is in great condition
• You will see a chic strip of brushed metal on the roof
• This was a clever idea from the vendor to help combat some headliner sag in an aesthetic way
• Its light brown carpets are also in great condition throughout
• Towards the rear, the boot is more than adequate for your luggage
• Under the floor, you’ll find a full-sized spare alloy wheel and a toolkit
• Overall, the interior is in good condition
• Some isolated areas show their age, but on the whole, it has aged gracefully

The Exterior 

• The exterior of this car is sleek and stunning
• Presented in an icy blue metallic it shines in the sunlight
• It still has an elegant pinstripe along the side
• The paintwork is in very good condition for its age and mileage
• There are one or two minor areas of paint marking on the body
• One of these is at the base of the offside passenger window
• Another is found on the rear bumper, but this has been touched in
• All of the light lenses are presented without cracking or fogging
• It sits on a set of 16-inch alloy wheels 
• These are found in good condition with only minor marking on some of them
• The vendor mentioned that the underside had been undersealed
• As it’s lived in a garage for the past 10 years it has been spared the worst of the weather
• You will be getting an elegant Daimler for your money that could get you into some classy events

The Mechanics 

• Under the bonnet, you’ll find a nice big 4.0l straight six
• Starting up on the button it purrs away nicely on tick over 
• There was no worrying blue smoke emitted when it was running
• It was required to manoeuvre around the vendors drive 
• This task was performed effortlessly with no obvious nasty noise 
• Although it hasn’t been used on the road for some years it seems to be ready to go
• The vendor did mention that when out on the road the ride is sublime
• When you get the MOT completed this will be an excellent addition to your garage
• It will eat up those boring motorway miles without you even noticing
