Highlights
- A highly original and sophisticated looking example of the popular Bentley Turbo R
- Presenting in a highly appealing and pristine looking colourway
- Complete with a generous service history and an impressive paperwork archive
The Appeal
Although the Turbo R was essentially a reworked Mulsanne Turbo the improvements to the suspension put right one of the main criticisms of the earlier car. The overly floaty Mulsanne Turbo had its roll stiffness increased by over 50% during its transformation into the Turbo R. A Panhard rod was also added to control side to side movement, leaving contemporary testers to confirm the upgrades had proved transformational.
This is a great example of the super-fast, uber-luxurious Bentley Turbo R. It boasts a sensible original mileage and comes with a good service history and much accompanying paperwork. This example is presented in a fine condition and provides a fast and highly luxurious way to travel.

Summary
The earlier Mulsanne Turbo awakened interest in Bentley as a distinct sporting brand rather than a purveyor of rebadged Rolls Royces. The Turbo R doubled down on this by significantly improving the car’s road manners and equipping it with underpinnings that were appropriate to all that power. The “R,” after all, stood for “roadholding.” Like most Bentleys of this period, it always was an exclusive and expensive car, too. This exclusive and prestigious impression is no less evident today as it was in 1995.
This example is in a great colourway, first off. The Aegean Blue is a great colour for the slab-sided Turbo R. It looks amazing, especially in profile. The interior is hard to fault, too. It is sublimely comfortable and luxurious and is in a great, original condition. For the size of the car, it is a consummate performer, too with a 0-60mph time originally quoted at around 6 seconds. This car represents a highly desirable, and big, slice of mid 1990’s super saloon that is sure to offer an exciting ownership proposition at a surprisingly attainable price.
