The Appeal
The colour of this beautiful Continental R is appropriate because, like a fine wine, it feels appropriate to take a moment to savour it. Just 1,236 Continental R’s left the factory and they are important for collectors because they were the final Bentley in the fully hand-crafted, coachbuilt tradition.
When new these cars were the most expensive GT in the world and the most powerful Bentley ever built. The condition and specification of this magnificent example reflects that, from the hand-built bodywork to the acres of crafted natural materials inside.
It is a very well maintained car - there are 18 service stamps - and its Wildberry over Magnolia colour scheme is particularly compelling. It comes to market with MOT to February 2025 with no advisories.
Continental R owners know that there really is no other car quite like it. And this one looks like an exceptionally good example.

The Continental R evolved from the Bentley turbocharged saloons, its sleek, handsome lines cleverly disguising its extensive four seater dimensions. Certain colours particularly suit the hand-crafted lines and the rare Wildberry of this car is certainly one of them. The optional 17in alloys add to the purposeful air.
The two-tone Wildberry and Magnolia interior is a neat complement to the exterior and features Flying B stitched highlights and smart Burr Walnut veneers.
Inside and out this car is in exceptional condition, with barely any signs of its 29 years.
The Mechanics
- 6,750cc Bentley turbocharged V8
- 4spd automatic gearbox with console shifter
- Full service history with 18 stamps
- Head gasket replaced with few miles covered since
- Serviced less than 50 miles ago
The joy of the Continental R is that beyond the handsome lines and sumptuous interior, this is a car that performs as a GT sports car should. Contemporary reviewers praised its prodigious power and sharp handling.
Most buyers likely leaned into a more relaxing approach to Bentley ownership. The condition and impeccable maintenance of this car suggests its owners were the same. The extensive history file includes a service book with 18 stamps, a mix of main dealers and independent specialists. The car also received head gasket repairs around 2,000 miles ago. It was last serviced around 50 miles ago.
The mechanical condition is independently confirmed by the long, advisory-free MOT.
