The Appeal

No matter the vehicle, a centralised, low centre of gravity is essential if you want to take corners at speed. That was the basis of Yamaha's Genesis engine and Delta Box frame design, slanting the engine forward and allowing the fuel tank to drop down behind the cylinders between the frame rails. Looking at the FZR 600, you'd think the fuel tank sat in the traditional place, but in fact, you're looking at a plastic dummy. This clever engineering gave the Yamaha an edge over its competitors, making the FZR 600 a very fast bike indeed.

This 1994 example is in superb original condition, with a mere 8,792 miles under its belt. The vendor tells us it's been garaged throughout its life, and from the Yamaha's condition, it's clear this has been the case. With MOT until 31st July 2025, and no advisories to note, this 'time warp' FZR 600 is ready to enjoy.
