The Appeal

When the MGB 'heritage' body shells re-entered production in 1992, the new MG quickly followed. The RV8 was a perfect balance of nostalgia and modernism - a V8-powered, lightly updated yet luxuriously trimmed tribute to the glory days of the Great British Sports car. Only 18 were being produced a week, too, so they were expensive pieces of kit, and marketed as a luxurious, nostalgia-baiting car for the history-loving well-to-do.

Only 1,983 were ever constructed, with the vast majority travelling to Japan, where a new phenomenon of 'Cool Britannia' was really coming into play. This particular ex-Japanese MG RV8 has been very well kept and lightly updated - with Spax shock absorbers, recently fitted front springs and a Clive Wheatley large-bore exhaust.

Painted in a lovely - and highly evocative - Woodcote Green, with a Beige leather cabin, this RV8 comes with 14 years of comprehensive history and will, no doubt, make for a highly desirable purchase for any enthusiast.
