The Appeal
Continuing the legacy of the iconic MGB, the MG body shell was returned to production in the early 90s by British Motor Heritage - mostly to serve a blossoming market of MG restorers. However, when Mazda introduced the MX5, Rover took notice - was the market for a good old-fashioned British-style roadster returning? The RV8 was introduced in 1992 to find out.
The vast majority of this speedy, capable V8-powered roadster went to Japan - including this example here. It returned to British shores in 2002 and only has 35,890 miles on the clock from new. Beautifully kept in a marvellous Oxford Blue paintwork, with a smashing cream interior, the car has a timeless elegance all of its own - and captures a particularly eccentric period of 90s design in style.
