  • Superb ‘restoration fresh’ condition inside and out

The Appeal

You may think you’re looking at a factory standard classic Range Rover. You would have to look very, very close to discover that this 1994 five-door is very much not that.
Thanks to a £78,500 makeover by specialists Range Rover Restorations, this is a very clever -and equally subtle - restomod. Beyond the standard aesthetics, albeit ones finished to a very high standard, lies a mouthwatering speification centred around a BMW M57 3L diesel engine delivering around 300bhp. There is also a six-speed auto box, uprated suspension and a fully retrimmed two-tone leather interior.
Barely used since the completion of the three-year restoration project, this is a fantastic and perhaps unrepeatable opportunity for the buyer. The quality of the work is obvious, and with its restored and galvanised chassis, it is likely to stay that way for a long time. A long, advisory-free MOT to February 2025 underlines the condition.
This is a remarkable vehicle for those who appreciate a very good classic restomod.

It is, of course, easy to invest big sums in a classic car. The trick is to spend that money with a firm that specialises in the vehicle you’re improving. That is the case here, where the extensive list of work - you can read about it above - has been undertaken by well-known model specialist Range Rover Restorations.
The specification is very appealing - particularly the green, cream and black colour scheme - and the fit and finish very impressive. Little used since completion means the buyer gets to appreciate and benefit from all that work.

The Mechanics

  • 2,993cc M57 BMW 6cyl diesel engine delivering up to 300bhp
  • 6spd automatic gearbox with sequential shift functionality
  • Huge specification list of improvements listed above
  • Suspension and running gear extensively improved
  • No reported running or driving issues
  • No mechanical or running gear advisories on the current MOT
The current keeper of this Range Rover is a serial builder of restomods, so is well versed in how to make this sort of vehicle work well. Beyond the refreshed aesthetics, much thought and attention has been paid to the running gear and mechanicals, starting with that M57 BMW engine. It imbues the car with significantly uprated performance - 300bhp is said to be on tap - with the added benefit of decent economy. All work comes with the reassurance of having been completed by specialist RRR.
The suspension, brakes and running gear have been improved to provide handling and ride to match the performance. With less than 1,500 miles covered since completion, this clever Range Rover comes to market in very good order.
