The Appeal
For some, it’s all about Paddy Hopkirk and the Monte, for others it’s Michael Caine, the blowing off or otherwise of doors and some agile antics in Italian tunnels. Whichever way you lean, for Mini enthusiasts, they’re equally compelling.
This classic Mini leans into the latter. It is one of the 1,000 Italian Job special editions built for the UK market. These cars got some choice options referencing the film - bonnet stripes, white wheels, driving lights and more - plus a peppy 1,275cc carb-fed engine. Good, original survivors are amongst the most desirable of the many Mini special editions.
This car is just that. It has clearly been loved by some enthusiast keepers who have amassed an extensive history file of ongoing maintenance. It remains factory standard in smart metallic green with an original Italian Job interior and upgraded veneer dashboard. History highlights include a restoration between 2008 and 2013 and more recent attention to the boot floor and rear valance in 2022 by Miniworks.
The car is very presentable. There is some room for the buyer to make it even better, but with MOT to January 2025 - and no structural advisories - this entertaining little car is ready to enjoy.

The vendor tells us:
“The car is good to drive and starts very easily. It is great fun to drive in the classic Mini fashion, low to the ground and nippy. Has been a great city driver for me. It is a great-looking Mini from a very sought-after range. It can work well as a daily driver in the summer or would make someone a brilliant show car. Beautifully finished dashboard and interior.”
