The Appeal
It's fair to say that in the late 1970s, the front engined RWD sports car was something of an alien concept to Porsche, however their first entry into that world was a rather respectable little car called the 924 that spawned from a joint venture with Volkswagen.
Originally penned to be a slice of financial relief for the marque, the 924 would become something entirely different that would shape the direction of Porsche over the next nearly two decades, and after years of toiling, development and engineering, the 924 would turn into the now legendary 968, the marques final send off and nod to their adventures in front engined performance cars. Sharp, stylish and incredibly good on the road the 968 was something truly special, and is now highly regarded as one of the all time greats in the enthusiast scene.
