The Appeal
The 200SX is the doyen of drifters, the king of the classic JDM coupes. This car is that most beguiling of examples - it looks stock, but conceals a raft of upgrades. It is a very well-maintained, enthusiast-owned car.
Built in 1992 and first registered here in 1995, it began life as an automatic but has been usefully converted to manual, all the better for capitalising on that 200bhp 16V motor. Inside and out the condition is smart, understated and very well-kept. Only the eagle-eyed will sport the alloys and turbo gauge that hint at anything more. Although, we admit, the rear spoiler is also a bit of a giveaway.
The work has covered a full engine rebuild 100 miles ago, an Exedy clutch kit, recent timing belt change and replacement front and rear discs and pads. There has also been a recent full paintwork respray in smart, understated dark grey metallic. The car is reported to be in very good condition, which is supported by the long MOT. The photographs attest to the standard, but before you do anything, have a look through the spec list below.
