The Appeal

The Evo II is the Integrale you want and we don’t think you’ll find better than this one. We don’t say that lightly - it really is one of the best we’ve seen in a long while.
The second-generation Evo is arguably the greatest hot hatch ever made. Compared to the earlier versions, it got more power with better deliver and cosmetic tweaks.
This is a one-keeper Evo II with just 91,000kms from new. It has been maintained to a very high level throughout its life and comes with a huge history file. Buyers get a car that was fully renovated and the exterior resprayed in 2024. In the same year it received a long, long list of mechanical work including engine disassembly and rebuild, full timing kit, ancillaries and brake system overhaul. You only need a cursory inspection of the photos inside and out to get a sense of the level of preservation and quality.
The last ITV was completed in July 2024 and the car is reported to run superbly and without fault. Every petrolhead should drive an Integrale - particularly an Evo II - and if your budget stretches to actually owning one, this car should be on your shortlist.

The Condition

  • Factory paint retained on the inside of doors and trunk to preserve originality where possible
  • Original 16in wheels restored and showing no deterioration
  • Fitted with mix of Bridgestone and Michelin tyres
  • Very well-detailed exterior with trim, door handles and other fittings presenting well
  • Retains correct factory details such as Caralo-branded fog lights
  • Very well preserved tan Alcantara interior in superb condition as shown
  • Unmodified car with Momo wheel, Recaros and period correct Pioneer CD player
  • Carpets, over mats and door cards all in very good order
  • Recent professional interior valet completed
  • All original factory stickers preserved
  • All glass is original except the front screen
  • Underside of the vehicle cleaned and confirmed to be rust-free
Well, just look at it. There are other colours, but somehow white is entirely appropriate for this Evo II, particularly as it evokes the Martini-branded 037 rally cars. The car is simple resplendent inside and out, a pleasingly unmodified but well preserved and restored example that looks close to show quality.
The paintwork to the exterior panels was resprayed in 2024 to rectify light marks and stone chips. But it is indicative of the care of the single keeper that he elected to retain the original paint in the door shuts and underside of the panels to minimise deviation from factory finish.
Elsewhere outside the trim, lovely 16in alloys and lights are all in good order. The glasswork is original too, except for the screen.
Inside is equally impressive. It is trimmed in complementary tan with Alcantara trim to the Recaros up front and rear bench. These seats look virtually unused. Switchgear, dials door cards, headlining and trim are all presented at a very high level.

The Mechanics

  • Lampredi 1,995cc twin-cam turbocharged Evo II specification 215bhp 16V engine
  • 5spd manual gearbox
  • Full engine disassembly and rebuild in 2024 as detailed above
  • Recent extensive mechanical overhaul including clutch kit, brake system, and exhaust system replacement
  • Electrical system reconditioned
  • Comprehensive fluid replacement including engine oil, brake fluid, and power steering fluid
  • Low-mileage car with full Lancia service history
  • No reported running or driving issues
  • ITV renewed July 2024
Move beyond the iconic, pumped up Integrale aesthetics and an Evo II is all about the boosted Lampredi twin cam and AWD configuration. These were cars honed on the rally stages and are simply sensational to drive. Don’t take our word for it - google ‘Integrale Evo II review’ for multiple confirmations.
Low mileage, carefully maintained one-keeper Evo II cars do not come to market often. The owner may have used it sparingly, but that has not been at the expense of maintenance. The car has always been looked after by Lancia. In 2024 it received over €18,000 of recommissioning across the mechanicals and running gear. You can dissect that list of work above and in the photos.
The car is in very good mechanical order with nothing for the buyer to attend to. This is a chance to grab a great car where someone else has done all the necessary work.
