Highlights
- Good mechanical health
- Excellent paperwork file
- Charming original condition
The Appeal
One of the last airhead boxers to ever wear a roundel on the tank. The R100R was produced between 1991 and 1995 with only 20,898 examples produced - a shaft driven, air-cooled sports tourer that refuses to fade away, branded the sports bike for grown ups.
This example has been well loved and equally well travelled with over 124-thousand miles on the clocks. Used properly, then, and rightly so! A loved bike such as this presents ample paperwork to prove the mechanical work over the years of use, and this example has had the engine and gearbox overhauled, as well as the front forks. A worthwhile addition to anyone's fleet.

Summary
R100R’s are an absolute joy to ride, this was the point where BMW were just starting to get involved with new school technology and ditching air-cooled engines, this piece of German engineering is one of the last of its kind. Not only making it a great conversational piece, but also has great potential for becoming a valuable asset, as some of the older air-cooled Germans seem to be going that way.
