The History
The car has receipts from notable Alfa specialists, Alfaholics and Classic Alfa. Bill McGrath had imported the vehicle in 2017 and as a Maserati specialist had a restoration of the vehicle done, this included interior, new hood and some interior trims.
The cars import papers are included along with recent bills, this includes a new battery and matching Pirelli tyres, fitted three years ago.
The Interior
- Restored seats in tan leather with suede panel inserts
- New hood in black canvas along with tan tonneau cover
- 5 speed manual gearbox
The interior of the Spider is in excellent condition, after a comprehensive restoration of the seats, new hood with a clean window insert devoid of any marks or creases the car is s new.
The main dashboard area is clean and all switchers operate. The clock is intermittent in its operation, this appears to be the only fault to our knowledge.

The Sony CD head unit comes with the vehicle and is fully functional.
All carpets are clean and show no significant wear or damage at all, door cards are in good order as are the handles and the tan inserts which were part of the restored interior, as you would expect they are like new.
The Exterior
The Rosso red solid paintwork is in excellent condition, showing no signs of ageing.
The only notable area that does require some attention is the lacquer blemish on the rear boot lid by the Alfa badge, plus a light scuff on the off side front bumper, this has been touched in.

Wheel trims are new as are the four matching Pirelli tyres, these are three years old and show very little wear. The hood was we believe to be part of the refurb when the car came to the UK, it is free of any marks and the material looks like new, as does the rear screen, devoid of scratches and wear.
The hood also opens and closes with ease and can be covered with the tan tonneau cover supplied.

The Mechanics
The car has receipts and paperwork relating to its delivery to the UK in 2017, where it had a new prop shaft repair in July 2017, this was to the front section where the centre bearing was replaced and balanced. The new shaft was built as required.
The car has an MOT until June 2022 and also has previous MOTs among the paperwork. The underneath of the vehicle is clean and shows no signs of wear or corrosion from what we can see, mainly being kept in Italy and a warm climate from 1993.
The Appeal
One of the last iconic Spiders to be built, left hand drive with a slick manual gearbox and that lively 1600 engine makes this the ideal roadster for short or long jaunts across the UK or Europe, finished in Rosso red with a recent restoration, this Alfa is ready to enjoy straight away.
