The Appeal
Porsche is a firm that likes to get things right. The original 911 was continuously improved, enabling it to stay in production for four decades. Same story with the 924 which evolved into this car, the 968.
The 968 looks like a modernised 944 but is so heavily re-engineered that only 20% is similar. That makes these final versions of the firm’s four-pot front-engineed coupe highly regarded.
This low mileage 1992 car began its life on the salt-free roads of Japan before arriving here in April 2003. The current keeper acquired it in 2015 and used it as a daily driver to 2020 when it went into dry storage. Throughout that time it has been maintained by specialist Tower Porsche, who recently recommissioned it for sale and MOT. Previous UK maintenance involved well known specialists like Hartech alongside factory main dealers.
Smartly finished in rare grey metallic with a matching interior and anodised BBS-style alloys, this is a very well kept car. The factory Tiptronic gearbox leans into the 968’s GT capabilities, but enables the option of more press-on B road blasting.
With long MOT to July 2025 this very stylish 968 is ready to enjoy.
