The Appeal
Some may gravitate to the GTI models, but those in the know revere this car and its sister model, the XS. Both are powered by the revvy 85bhp TU3S 1.4L engine that is nearly as quick as a GTI, but is lighter and more responsive.
The Roland Garros version, named after France’s famous aviator and the tennis tournament bearing his name, was a limited edition, high-specification version. It is one of the most desirable special edition 205 models. These cars got special dark green metallic paintwork and a smart cream leather and fabric interior.
This 1992 example was restored around 10 years ago to factory-correct specification. Only the GTI alloys deviate from standard. The work covered the body, paint and mechanicals so that it presents today in very good order.
With its folding roof, four seat layout, desirable engine and brilliant handling, this is a modern classic you can really enjoy whatever the weather. It comes to market with recent technical inspection with no advisories.
