THE APPEAL

For a 1990s-designed car, the Mitsubishi 3000 GT was a step ahead of its time thanks to the advanced technology Mitsubishi crammed into the 3.0 litre twin-turbo grand touring/sports car. The number of 3000 GT on UK roads is relatively low, as many of them were the imported GTO version brought over as grey imports during the late 1990s early 2000s. A UK purchased 3000 GT would have set you back around the £35,000 mark in 1992, making this the more appealing car to own over the imported GTO version.
This UK spec 1992 Mitsubishi 3000 GT has been owned by the vendor since 2017 and was never going to be sold. After a couple of years as this was his "forever car", the vendor decided to have the bodywork freshened up along with the underside, which has seen some extensive restoration. The car was then given a complete engine rebuild which was done in stages by a friend who owns an engineering company. With the engine fully rebuilt and put back together in early 2023, the car has been given a full MOT and used for just a few miles to check everything is in order.
Sadly for the vendor, he had an ankle injury which required fusing surgery so is no longer able to drive a manual car without considerable pain, so the car must now find a new home.
