The Appeal
The W124 era Mercedes really can be seen as the marque’s golden child. Stylish, well equipped and with the robust, longevity of a piece of agricultural machinery, whilst still retaining a lavish outward appearance and refined driving experience. The W124 gave Mercedes a reputation and a client list other brands could only dream of and still commands respect as one of the all time great automobile platforms.
With effortlessly classy exterior styling, a well appointed cabin and a variety of impeccable engines on offer, the saloon variant, is perhaps the most revered of the W124s and is seen the world over as a symbol of quality engineering and style.
With just 101k on the clock this 1992 W124 is barely run in by Mercedes standards. In a suave metallic grey over black leather specification, it's an undeniably handsome example that, as denoted by some subtle rear badging, boasts a top tier, 3.0 litre straight six engine. Impressively well presented throughout, in good original form, J274 EFU certainly makes a wonderful case for entry into the world of W124 ownership.
