The Appeal

This magnificent 1992 XJS is a very early facelift V12 with the revised V12 5.3L engine and one of the small number of cars built before the introduction of the full facelift cars with plastic bumpers. These rare cars are popular with collectors because they blend the old and new eras.
It is a great example, beautifully presented in Signal Red with Magnolia leather interior and having covered less than 68,000 miles for new. The condition is as you would expect of a clearly cherished and sparingly used classic coupe. A recent professional detail, paint refresh and £1,000 ceramic coating take the condition to another level.
The history file is similarly impressive. The bulging folder, helpfully summarised by a typed record from the current keeper which is shown in the photographs, shows full service history from new to 600 miles go. All work has been undertaken by Jaguar main dealers and specialists. The current MOT runs to March 2025.
There has been recent attention to the suspension, shock absorbers, brakes and electrics so that this car rides and drives exactly as a silky smooth V12 XJS should.
This is one of the best XJS V12s we’ve seen in a long while. Its tantalising history merely adds to the intrinsic appeal of Jaguar’s beguiling GT car.
