The glamour

Jaguar XJ40s are so comfortable and luxurious that it is often forgotten that they are also great sports cars. Most examples were produced with automatic transmission, so few owners have had the opportunity to discover their true qualities.

But here we present a perfect example to discover their second nature. In fact, this XJ6 equipped with the extremely rare manual gearbox allows the driver to appreciate the dual soul of this era of great qualities, luxurious and elegant but also extremely dynamic. Because an XJ40 is as comfortable as it is lively.

Finished in the popular Bordeaux Red Metallic colour scheme combined with a cream leather upholstered interior, this XJ6 presents itself as a very well maintained car in excellent condition. Important areas such as the wheel arches, sills, window frames and underbody present very well.

This car has only had three owners since it was new and the MOT certificate is valid until November 2026.

Condition

The elegant and popular metallic Bordeaux red paintwork is in good condition on all panels.
The paint shows few signs of wear and ageing, with minor flaws highlighted in the photos.
Defects include minor scratches on the front spoiler visible in the photo gallery
Considering the age and originality of the car, some traces of wear and tear are visible.
The bodywork is in very good condition for an XJ40, particularly in key areas such as the door sills, wheel arches and window frames.
The underbody appears to be in good condition and the seller informed us that no problems were detected during the recent overhaul.

The cream leather upholstered interior appears well maintained for its age and shows only light signs of wear visible in the photos.
