The Appeal
The Ford Thunderbird is one of American motoring’s true icons, a lineage of cars that has entered the country;s psyche. For the 10th generation, launched in 1989, Ford executed a complete rethink and combined smooth, simple styling with technically advanced underpinnings.
The Super Coupe (SC) added supercharging to the mix, offering buyers performance to match the looks. It won Motor Trend’s seal of approval in 1989 when they named it Car of the Year.
This remarkably well preserved 1992 SC displays a low mileage that the bodywork and interior appear to verify. Understated yet devilishly quick, this luxurious four seater is definitely a conversation starter.

Summary
Named Motor Trend’s Car of The Year in 1989, the supercharged and understated Thunderbird SC kept its cards very close to its chest. But for the initiated, this was a properly quick addition to the long lineage.
It is rare to find SCs this side of the pond and this one is in highly preserved condition. The exterior and interior condition support the indicated low mileage. Subtle and relaxing yet capable and quick, it seems to offer the best of all worlds.
