The Appeal
It wasn’t an obvious idea, but it was certainly a good one. Nissan’s project to use its popular Micra as the base for a retro-themed, sports-inflected city car gave the world the Figaro.
By doing the job properly, including paying real detail to items such as the Bakelite-inspired steering wheel, Nissan created one of the most distinctive and popular city cars of recent times.
This car, like many, has evolved the factory spec with some neat bespoke features, most notably the bronze metallic paintwork. This theme carries into the interior and also includes the retractable roof, which is finished in complementary tan.
It is a low mileage example - just 103,000 kms (64,000 miles) from new - that has been regularly serviced by its current long term keeper. There are some light cosmetic points to note, but it would work well as a nippy city car or there is scope to improve.
