The Background
Designed for the Japanese nostalgia boom of the early 90s, the Nissan Figaro is a quirky, unusual little car that sought period aesthetics and distinctive modern performance with minimal fuss. They quickly became highly sought after, with the company opening a lottery draw to allocate the 20,000 total vehicles manufactured. Thanks to its star appearance in Doctor Who’s Sarah Jane Adventures, the Figaro is still an utterly charming oddity that’s only becoming more fascinating as the years go by.
This example was previously sold at Car & Classic last year but hasn’t turned a wheel in the interim. It’s a remarkably well-kept example that, according to its service history, has covered less than 1,000 miles since 2013.
