The Appeal
Following the immense success of the Unimog, a tractor-like truck, Mercedes-Benz customers sought something more agricultural. A truck-like tractor, if you will…
The supremely capable MB-trac came along in 1973, using the Unimog’s drivetrain to drive four wheels of equal size and, unusually for tractors in this class, the front wheels steer conventionally rather than having an articulated chassis. In ‘Heavy-Duty’ 1100 form, the MB-trac could runs some very large equipment and even today, farmers and foresters still rely on these classic machines day-to-day.
This 1991 MB-trac 1100 indicates just 2,460 hours, suggesting it’s little more than run-in. It’s supremely original inside and out, even down to the richly patinated paintwork. While it has spent some of its life outdoors, its bodywork presents remarkably well with minimal corrosion for a vehicle of this nature. The vendor assures us that the engine starts reliably, runs well and all the various functions, both mechanical and hydraulic, are in very good order. As the vendor is a mechanical engineer, they have maintained the MB-trac themselves and they informs us that it’s ready to resume work.
These vehicles are now immensely desirable among collectors, so it would also be a very good candidate for cosmetic restoration. Whether you’re looking for a showpiece or simply need an excellent tractor, this MB-trac is brimming with potential. It’s road registered in Ireland and is exempt from NCT/MOT.

Hi, I have gone off and got a quote to get the tractor taken from Ireland to Dorset and it is coming in at approx £1700. If you were successful I would be more than happy to share the details of the transporter to you. Alternatively, I can arrange to have the vehicle brought to Dublin Port and you could get a quote from a transporter nearer Dorset.
Hope this helps.
