The Appeal
The Mercedes-Benz W126 is a masterpiece in design and engineering excellence. It was a hugely successful model for Mercedes, with over 800,000 units sold.
This particular example benefits from extensive service history, and a long MOT. It is a great example of a luxury Mercedes, with its powerful 4.2 litre V8 engine and copious amounts of space in the cabin.

- There is some brake squeal coming from the rear right wheel
- No reported smoke or leaks
- Said to accelerate well and brake in a straight line
- New bonnet soundproofing pad included but not fitted
Summary
We are sure that the next owner of this 420 SE will appreciate Mercedes’ reputation for producing cars which can just keep on going and going. In fact, there can’t be a city on earth which isn’t host to a couple of impossibly high mileage old Mercedes.
But this example benefits from only having 82,000 miles on the clock, so should stand its owner in good stead for some time to come.
