The Appeal
The Mercedes W124 is renowned for being one of most well-engineered Mercedes of all time, and is famous for its bank-vault build quality and reliability. The styling is also the embodiment of Mercedes from the 1980s and 1990s, and it harks back to an era of understated style with its chiselled lines and classic Mercedes grille. Sought after for their reliability, dependability and build quality, good examples are now scarce. This one is a particularly well preserved example with below average mileage and few owners.
Barely run in at 60,000 miles (the speedometer failed in 2015 and was replaced; the original reading 47,915 comes with the car). It’s rare and attractive Willow Green paint is thought to be all original and is in exceptional condition. It boasts an original and near perfect Pine Green leather interior, with glossy wood and clean carpets. The Mercedes has a complete history, one of the owners keeping it for 27 years, and a Service book containing 23 stamps.

It’s also very unusual to see a 230E with a 5-speed manual gearbox!

Summary
By Mercedes standards this 230E is barely run-in! Having covered just over 60,000 miles it is in unusually nice condition, far better than most we see. The green colour combination works well, and the added bonus of the rare optional 5-speed manual gearbox will allow you to enjoy all the power that the 2.3 litre engine has to offer. Clearly a cut above the rest.
