The Appeal
The 190E was a milestone for Mercedes-Benz. Considering it sold nearly 1.9 million units, it was quite a big one, too. Mercedes-Benz themselves proclaimed it was overengineered, even by their own lofty standards, and considering their impressive reign for some eleven years, it's little wonder that they've become a highly respected classic.
Chisseled, compact and crowned by that ever-iconic grille, the Bruno Sacco design was subtle but imposing. This was the 'Baby-Benz' for the '90s and proved to carry quite a handsome presence.
This fine right-hand drive example was imported from grit-free Japan in 2019, and comes to us in fine fettle - with a good, solid underside and a highly original cabin. The vendor is very sorry to sell a car they've so prized, but their growing family necessitates it. As a result, you've got a superb opportunity to take on the iconic executive compact in superb order; stacked with fresh parts and fittings.
