The Appeal

The MX5’s sheer brilliance means that there are a lot of them about. If you really want to stand out without losing the Mazda’s many attributes, then you want this car. It features a Simpson Design fibreglass body. Rather than a slavish replica of a Ferrari, it takes the beautiful 275 NART as its starting point and creates something altogether unique.

Beneath the eye-catching Ferrari Giallo Modena yellow paintwork, this car is very much go as well as show. There is a newly rebuilt and supercharged 1.6L Mazda engine - good for 190bhp - and the suspension and brakes have been upgraded to suit.

The car has received over £4,000 of work since mid 2024 covering that engine rebuild, servicing and other repair, many by Mazda specialist Sam Goodwin. It is reported to be in great mechanical health and comes with MOT to June 2025.

We love this clever evolution of the MX5 that has the performance and handling to match its looks.
