The Appeal
32 years after its run of era-defining wins, Jaguar once again took first place on the podium at Le Mans. To celebrate that 1988 win, Jaguar produced two batches of celebratory cars. The second group of 280 cars arrived in 1990 based on the 5.3litre V12 coupe.
These special cars got Le Mans badging and motifs, upgraded interiors and the Sport Pack suspension. Just 280 were built and this example must be one of the best.
Finished in fetching Brooklands Green, it is a very low mileage car recently arrived from salt-free Japan where it had just one keeper. It was always garaged.
The car was imported to the UK by the seller, a specialist in Jaguars from Japan. It arrived with full service history but will be serviced again prior to sale. The vendor can assist with UK registration so that the buyer is the first keeper in this country.
A very good example of a rare and particularly desirable version of the much-admired XJ-S.
