The Appeal

The original CRX is one of those hot hatch/coupe hybrids that seems to fly under the radar for many enthusiasts but is utterly beloved of anyone lucky enough to have driven one.

With good reason, for these are amongst the best drivers’ cars of the late 80s and early 90s. Fizzing 16V engines, low weight perfectly distributed and nimble, engaging handing mean that a good CRX can run rings around Golf GTIs, XR3s and Capris.

Good, original and unmodified cars are surprisingly hard to find. Most have been driven into the ground. Not this one. It is a virtually factory standard 1.6-16 with the 135bhp version of Honda’s 16V 1.6L engine. Finished in stand out red, accented by smart OZ Racing alloys, and a very well kept grey fabric CRX interior, this little road rocket is ready to enjoy.

It has been in Poland since 2004 and is reportedly well-maintained. It is factory standard except for useful improvements like a more aggressive camshaft and sports exhaust manifold. There are also Integra brakes to beef up the stopping power.

This is a very good example of a brilliant car.
