The Appeal
By the close of the 70s, the much-loved Silver Shadow was looking decidedly outdated in a way that no longer felt particularly distinguished. It's perhaps only natural that the ever-discerning Rolls-Royce driver was beginning to look elsewhere, so the boys at Crewe brought in the illustrious Fritz Feller to produce a new, more luxurious, more modern vehicle.
The Spur was an instant success, and was quickly picked up by the famous, the well-to-do and the undeniably flashy. The 'three-box' was still intact, keeping the essential 'Roller' image on display, but took it into a more defined, angular and elegantly minimalist direction.
