Replacing the iconic styling and sporting credentials of the E-type was always going to be a tall order for Jaguar, but it soon became apparent that the new XJ-S was designed to embrace a modern era in motoring history when it was launched in 1975.
This brilliant GT made the most of the magnificent V12 engine that powered the last of the E-types with 6-cylinder versions joining the range later. Long distance cruising was well catered for with power steering, cruise control and a luxurious cabin trimmed with an abundance of leather and wood.
Impressively, this XJ-S Coupe has been clearly loved and cared for by the same owner from new. Residing in Exeter all it’s life, the befitting Regency Red coachwork looks resplendent, and the sublime body, very straight. On the inside we discover all the luxurious Jaguar comfort you would expect - all in exceptional preserved condition.
A proper ‘old-school’ British Jag, the HE V12 version is extremely desirable and should offer a highly engaging driving experience. Very cool these days, it is amazing value compared to any other V12, and should be a solid investment.
