The Appeal
When it comes to the XJS, three extra letters are enough to elevate a car amongst enthusiasts. Those letters are KWE, indicating that a factory car has been extensively improved by this model specialist.
KWE turns the XJS into the car it was always meant to be. There are many improvement packages but the firm’s suspension upgrades are particularly sought-after because they deliver a much more engaging and planted GT car.
They are not cheap, though, as this car’s history file shows. The 2011 KWE work included suspension pack, uprated manifold and rust-proofing treatment that brought the final bill to £15,000. It is just one of the expenditures lavished on this car by its current long-term keeper. Recent work includes welding, electrical repairs and, of course, servicing. The car was professionally fitted with a LPG system in 2015.
Finished in smart Glacier White with Savile Grey leather and a tidy blue electric folding roof, this very smart convertible comes to market with long MOT to August containing no advisories.
The vendor writes:
“The car drives beautifully. We have been to the South of France and Italy in it many times. It is very comfortable and it handles superbly after the KWE restoration.
“It is a stunning car. The colour is quite rare, the LPG conversion works seamlessly and saves a fortune on fuel. It still leaves room for enough luggage for a 2 week holiday. I always wanted one of these. The previous keeper was a gentleman farmer who was also a collector and the car was well looked after. He used it for trips to Spain with his wife.”
