The Appeal
Just as the full-size DS was eventually replaced by the CX, Citroën’s smaller hydropneumatic offering, the GS/GSA was superseded by the BX which entered production in 1982. The BX proved a worthy successor, continuing the use of hydropneumatic suspension and a raft of unconventional features only Citroën was ever brave enough to conceive.
We’re pleased to odder this highly original and remarkably well-preserved 1990 BX 16 TZS. For Citroën collectors seeking a period-correct example, few surviving BXs are as good as this one which will be supplied with a fresh MOT for its next custodian. With a warranted mileage of 68,400 miles and recently subject to a comprehensive service in readiness for sale, the vendor reports that it drives “like a breath of fresh air”.
