The Corvette is a symbol of American muscle, known for its powerful performance and iconic design. Since the golden age of mid-century motoring, these cars have only grown more aggressive, stylish and sporty as time marches on - something exemplified with the 4th generation - such as this example here. Codenamed 'King of the Hill' the ZR-1 was the combined efforts of General Motors and Lotus with one goal - to build the world's fastest production car. With a Lotus designed, quad-cam, 32 valve V8 dubbed the 'LT5' the ZR-1 was not short on power, but thanks to Lotus engineered braking and steering systems and Bilstein designed suspension, it was a capable beast in the corners, too. Little wonder the ZR-1 set world records in 1990...
If the ZR-1 wasn't already special enough, this particular one should certainly fit the bill. It's a family heirloom with a unique history. The vendor informs us that this is the first black production ZR-1 and the first to enter the UK, making it a rare find for any collector or enthusiast. With only 12,250 miles on the odometer, this Corvette has seen minimal use. and has been in the same family since it was purchased new.CSBhlhtoznxwYn1PozxDaIl1MBJmbs5KWmvhqDJI.jpg995.59 KB
