If you’re a fan of 80s and 90s performance cars, they don’t come much more special than this – the legendary E34 BMW M5.
Based on the 5-Series saloon, the E34 was the last of the six-cylinder M5s, and to many is regarded as the model’s high watermark. Powered by the legendary S38 straight-six powerplant, the M5 developed 315bhp and was assembled by hand at the M-Division’s Dingolfing Factory in Bavaria, built up around a painted factory body shell.
This one is a lovely, original example that was purchased by the vendor – a long-term BMW enthusiast – earlier this year. He’d always wanted one and is sad to have to sell it, but a new business venture means he needs to sell it to raise investment capital.
It’s a fabulous colour – Macau Blue – which is almost a dark metallic black with anthracite blue highlights, and rides on immaculate factory alloys.
It was given a full service by the vendor in September this year. It is presented in extremely good original condition – not perfect, but incredibly smart and solid – and comes with a Lux Pack interior featuring heated front and rear seats. It has an advisory-free MOT valid until August 2024 and is a great example of a well-cared-for and highly useable M-Car icon, ready to show and enjoy.
