The Appeal
For some classics, you have to be in the mood. Not the E30 Convertible. This is a car that shapes itself to your mood, adapting seamlessly between sports car, 2+2 GT and wafting convertible depending on how you feel and how the weather waxes and wains.
All of which explains why we love this ‘90 320i. The specification is right - Brilliant Red with black leather and that peachy straight six 2L motor. We also like the auto box, which seems to suit this car’s multifaceted character.
We are also big fans of the condition and history of this example, It has clearly been looked after by its quartet of keepers - the last one since 1998 - who have kept the mileage down to a remarkable 53,000 miles. That has kept the condition at an elevated level - the black leather sports interior is well kept and a recent paint refresh has brought the exterior to the same quality.
The maintenance records show regular servicing and attention throughout its life. The car has recently been recommissioned after a few years in storage and will be sold with a fresh MOT. A great chance to bag a very low mileage, well kept and well specified E30.
