Highlights
- Recent import, offered with UK registration
- Appears highly original throughout
- Formerly part of a large static collection, now offered for sale
- Oozes 90s supercar energy
The Appeal
The Virage was Aston Martin’s flagship model, positioned above the all-new DB7 and boasting the enviable status of being entirely hand-built in Newport Pagnell. It was also one of the final appearances for Tadek Marek’s glorious quad-cam V8. So in many ways, the Virage marked the end of an era.
This left-hand drive 1990 example has recently arrived back on UK shores and is offered with UK registration. The Virage appears very original and well-preserved throughout and it appears free from notable imperfections.
For those seeking an old-school V8-engined Aston Martin GT, a Virage is well worth a look and this one would be a great option.
The History and Paperwork
- Recently imported to the UK
- We’re informed all import duties have been paid
- Offered with UK registration - G937 COY
- Offered without prior service history
- Formed part of a large static collection and thus saw little use over the past years
The Condition
- Handsome white paintwork with few visible blemishes
- Slight scratch/scuff to the front spoiler
- The OEM alloy wheels present well and are fitted with Bridgestone tyres
- The underside presents well and we’re not informed of any issues
- Black leather upholstery with white piping to complement the exterior scheme
- The woodwork looks in very good condition
- Electric heated seats with memory function
- Minimal wear apparent to the leather upholstery
- The carpets present well, as does the headlining and dashboard
- Sony DIN stereo fitted
- The controls, instruments and switchgear present well
The Mechanics
- 5.3-litre V8
- Three-speed automatic
- 330 horsepower
- All looks very original under the bonnet
- Starts, shifts into gear, drives and stops
- Owing to the fact that it was on static display for a number of years prior to being imported to the UK, it has not been extensively driven and is thus highly advisable to recommission the vehicle prior to road use.
- In summary, this is a fabulous piece of automotive history which presents very well, and requires some love to bring it back to its former glory.
