The Appeal
As one of Toyota’s longest lived and most successful sports cars, the Celica GT was available in various body styles and revisions over 35 years and remains a popular choice for enthusiasts the world over. Here we have a rather fine Fourth Generation 1989 example, a 2.0-litre T160 Celica GT which has had just the one registered family keeper from new.
The car was passed to the owner’s son upon their death and the vendor has registered it as a motor trader, so as not to add a name to the V5C. Therefore, the V5C displays the name of the first owner and their son only. The Celica underwent some bodywork refurbishment around seven years ago in order to rectify some corrosion identified during a 2016 MOT inspection.
It’s presented in very good condition inside and out and the vendor reports that absolutely everything works. If you’re looking for one of these lesser seen cars, this looks a really fine candidate and the ownership history makes it a rather special example.

Summary
You seldom see a Celica of this vintage today which is a real shame as they were some technically advanced and interesting cars. This 1989 GT is a really fine example which has clearly been cherished over the years. If you’d like to be the first to add a new surname to the logbook, be sure not to miss this excellent opportunity.
