Highlights

  • Impeccably clean inside and out
  • Full service history
  • Previous 17 year ownership

The Appeal

Dazzle onlookers with this immaculately presented 944.

With gleaming gloss paintwork, a fresh-looking interior and a surgically clean engine bay, this Porsche wows its audience from every angle.
And with a gleaming service record to match, you won’t be able to resist jumping in this smart machine and going for a drive. The three litre engine produces a healthy noise and packs a punchy 211bhp, so you’ll have a huge amount of fun on the way.

The History and Paperwork

  • 24 stamps in service logbook, Porsche main dealer and independent
  • Private registration included in sale
  • Full MoT history
  • Current MoT to August 2023

The Interior

  • All original fittings in outstanding condition
  • Superbly clean
  • Porsche branded plug-in tyre inflator
The fastidious nature of this car’s care is on display throughout its interior.

The leather of the seats wouldn’t look out of place in a car with half its mileage, the switchgear is unworn, with bright, bold script, the carpets look almost unused and the whole cabin is almost surgically clean.
All the electrical items are said to function without issue and a Blaupunkt Bluetooth sound system has been fitted, which looks entirely at home in the centre console.
The boot is just as clean as the rest and, alongside the spare wheel, is a plug-in Porsche tyre inflator, toolkit and protective gloves.

The Exterior

  • Almost entirely original paint
  • Dry stored, said to be rust free
  • Very clean clean convertible roof
The owner’s other cars have reportedly won prizes in concours events, and you can clearly see that this level of care has also been lavished upon this Porsche.

The paintwork is in superb condition, with the owner reporting that the single stage paint is free from swirl marks and hazing. It certainly is in strikingly good condition. Only the front bumper has been resprayed in 2000, at a cost of £250.
Underneath, the car is said to be free from welding repairs and corrosion. And the canvas hood looks to be clean, tight and smart. A tonneau cover is also supplied. The tyres are four years old but show almost no wear.
In all, this Porsche is the result of many years of careful ownership, sensible storage and timely maintenance.

The Mechanics

  • Very clean engine bay
  • Original factory exhaust
  • No issues reported
A credit to its previous owners, this 944 looks to be in extremely good mechanical condition. A fully stamped service book backs this up.
The owner reports that the following work has been completed:
  • Water pump, cam belt and balance belts replaced in 2021
  • Clutch changed 60k miles ago
  • Front shock absorbers replaced in 2018, using Porsche parts
  • Gear linkage replaced
  • Brake callipers rebuilt
  • Oil changed annually for the past 17 years
In all, this Porsche appears to have wanted for nothing throughout its life and has been serviced without hesitation.

The vendor states that the car drives very nicely, with the engine progressing smoothly through the rev range, factory-fitted Brembo brakes stopping the car efficiently and in a straight line and no leaks, knocks or noises.

Summary

Here we have a sublime example of Porsche’s front engined roadster, a cracking car which is in the finest fettle you could wish for. It has been cosseted throughout its life, kept in a fastidiously clean state and serviced without hesitation.
So if you would like a show-stopping example of a Porsche 944, look no further than this stunning machine.
